Sorry for the late update. It’s been a very busy week. We got back from Indiana early Monday morning and have been working on getting things ready for the Yamaha pipe race between work and appointments this week.
From what I was told, last weekend was a pretty big one at Avon. The oval had one of their larger fields of the year and on Sunday, the Batavia kart club visited which brought the sprint field up to nearly 50 karts – also one of the largest fields of the year. Thanks everyone for coming out to support the club and track.
The oval racers completed their season today and I have posted the last two weekends of Oval results this evening. Congratulations to Bob Glynn and Bob Secules for thier championships in Clone Lite and Heavy respectively. Austin Bradley also gets a congratulations for taking the Jr Championship.
Tomorrow is the final race for the 2011 Summer Sprint Championship as well. The results for last week have also been posted on the site. Good luck to everyone tomorrow. We also will be having the $200 to win Yamaha Pipe race. The pipe race will be run along with the regular sprint program. They will be qualifying via time trials for their 1st heat, then a prefinal race will be held during the 2nd round of heats and then the 20 lap final will be run during the 3rd round of heats. It should be fun as we’re hoping for a good field of Yamahas from all over central NYS to attend the event.
