A big “thank you” to everyone who attended our annual meeting on March 15th to register as a member, and to learn what’s new for the coming season. We’re excited to race with you…and there’s just one more month until the action begins!

If you’d like to join GVKC but haven’t yet submitted your 2015 membership forms, we encourage you to download the forms from our site and mail the completed documents with your membership fee to:

GVKC 2015 Driver Roster – 3/15/15

By submitting your forms by April 15th, GVKC can ensure that our points tracking system properly reflects your name, and that board members are sharing up-to-date information on class enrollment with prospective members. (Looking for information on competitive classes? Check out our current 2015 roster, as of the March membership meeting.)

GVKC Junior Drivers

GVKC’s annual membership meeting will take place on Sunday, March 15th at 11 am at the Avon VFW / American Legion. Join us to learn what’s new for 2015, and save $10 on your membership fee by registering at the meeting. To save time, you may download our 2015 forms and bring the completed forms to the meeting.* We hope to see you there!

*New this year: annual memberships are NOT required for children under the age of 5. Pit passes will be offered for $5 for children under the age of 5 who are attending with a parent or guardian.

GVKC Mission Statement

The GVKC board would like to send out a big “thank you” to all members who took the time to offer feedback on a draft version of our mission statement for 2015. With your input and wordsmithing, we feel the final document will serve as a strong touchstone for what we’re striving to achieve.

The actions and decisions of the Genesee Valley Kart Club board are informed by these central goals:

  1. To provide a safe setting for drivers, course workers and spectators.
  2. To give the membership an experience they enjoy and look forward to each week.
  3. To ensure drivers compete fairly.
  4. To provide more driver and team development opportunities.
  5. To improve membership communications.
  6. To promote the club to ensure sustainability.

2015 Race Schedule Now Available

Look for these key dates, coming up soon:

  • Sunday, March 15 – GVKC’s annual membership meeting will take place at the Avon VFW at 11 am. Join us to learn what’s new and sign up for the coming season.
  • Saturday, April 18 – Rookie School will be held at the track.
  • Saturday, April 25 – GVKC’s training committee will host a training clinic designed to help new drivers and karting families set the stage for a successful season. This kicks off a series of training clinics that will help both new and current members learn the basics, and beyond. Look for 2015 clinic dates among the special events marked in red on the schedule.
  • Sunday, April 26 – Racing begins!

2015 Greater Rochester International Auto Show

GVKC will be participating in this year’s show from Thursday, February 26th through Sunday, March 1st at the Riverside Convention Center. Throughout the entire event, club representatives will be present to showcase our activities and answer your questions. We’ll also have examples of karts raced at our track on display. If you want to know more about the exciting world of competition karting that can be found just minutes from Rochester, please join us during the show.

Club members are also encouraged to stop by to show your support. If you’re interested in show details or participation, just contact us through and we’ll get back to you.
